An Exhibition

When my husband retired from his job, he began to take painting lessons at the Künstlerische Volkshochschule in Vienna.
This year, one of his watercolours was shown at the yearly exhibition.

Here are some more pictures from different artists presented at the exhibition.

Your husband can be proud of his watercolor! He captured the essence. Makes me think of Picasso's early watercolors:)

Hi Maria!
how're you doing tonight?
today I went to a cafe to eat pan cake. this cafe is famous for pan cake. it's very goooood!
I like pan cake also bread more than rice.
most Japanese like rice more than bread though.
of course rice is more healthy than bread. because it's not contained oil and sugar.

by the way your husband has something!
I don't have a sense to draw something! so i'm jealous of him!

and,
thank you for your kind comment:)

and you know, teriyaki is japanese word.
it tastes like soy sauce and sugar.
we use Mirin for it.
( here it is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirin)
when you use it, food looks shinning that is called " Teri "
and " yaki " means being fried.
so " teriyaki " means it is fried and it looks shinning :)
I like " teriyaki ".
when I cook Hamburger steak, I make teriyaki sauce:)

restaurant, Bamboo, and they have a teriyaki grill. You can chose all the ingrediants yourself and watch the cook preparing your meal. It was DELICIOUS! We had a lot of seafood and vegetables!

Very nice. I always marvel at artist who have so much control that they can paint with watercolors. As for myself, I love acrylics as they are a most forgiving medium. Peace

Hi Maria, I think sometimes of you and your enthusiastic blogging. I have retired a little from blogging. Your husband has found a nice retirement hobby. It is fun to draw and paint. When is it your turn?
It must be lovely now in Vienna when the flowering season is at its height. Best wishes. T.
