A sunny Saturday in Spring

Finally temperatures are pretty warm!
16°C /60°F
This morning I met a friend at Naschmarkt. We drank coffee and then strolled through Vienna's oldest market. The place was extremely crowded as everybody was outside to enjoy the first sunrays and the warm air.

Sunglasses were advisable,

and a palmtree with a single leaf was out in the open for the first time too.

I nearly got blinded by the bright sunlight and the radiant colours of the tropical fruits and spring flowers.

In the big park near Karlskirche, people sat on the benches face up to the sun, some of them were even lying on the benches and napping.
A street musician played a melancholic song (what else?).

Look how nice and neat she took off her red shoes!
And the funny stripes of the shadows and her socks!

The sky above was covered by fleecy clouds. Really pretty!

The trees are still bare in Vienna, but I have seen crocuses and tulip bulbs displaying the first colours!

Hi Maria!
It must be fun to walk around there and buy something. Then I talk with you eating some fruits on the bench!
It's time to go to bed in Tokyo.
night night:)

So even in Spring the accordeonist plays a melancholic song? The bright colors of fruit and flowers are really blinding!

What a wonderfully restorative day as the city, like a hibernating animal, is coming to life with the warmth of spring. It is not the wealth or colours of tulips that excite anywhere near as much as their firsts shoots breaking ground.
So glad you are enjoying the wonders opening at your feet and all around you Maria.

Oh, I love a day at the market and walks as soon as there is sun in the spring! It has been fantastic here! The warmest winter on record and that's why everything is already blooming! You can be sure that I'm not complaining!! Love all your photos! The one with interesting socks is worth a big smile!! Hope you have a terrific week, Maria!

I enjoyed this look at your world, Maria. It's very different than my views this week of the California desert.

Hello Maria:)

Greetings and good wishes:)

It is good to see you enjoying the spring time and showing us some lovely sights. People are delighted to see sunshine and one person is even sleeping in the open.Amazing how people value sunlight.

Here is Kochi, we have to protect ourselves from the heat of the sun and we are all eagerly looking forward to the monsoon.

I can see some trees are still bare on account of the harsh winter, and here is Kochi many trees have started shedding leaves to save themselves from excessive heat.

Trees teach us an important lesson.Change is the only permanent thing in life. We have to adapt to change quickly to survive.

I enjoyed the stroll with you, your photos gave me an insight into the life of people in your wonderful town and each sight was refreshing and enchanting.

Best wishes Maria:)
Joseph

I am back with questions concerning the first photo. What is the building name and it uses? Also the leafy gold dome is it open as it appears and if so what is underneath that the weather does not bother? Also the statue with the fellow riding the lion? Who and what doe it represent. Just wondering in TN. Peace

Wow, Maria! I just discovered your blog today and I love it. There is NOTHING like Vienna in the Springtime. Oh, you're making me miss your beautiful city. (It was my home for a few years - a long time ago.)
